Live99FM is a radio station serving its audience through a live stream and a roster of regular shows and presenters.
A station site has to do something most sites do not: keep playing. If a listener navigates from the schedule to a presenter profile and the stream cuts out, the site has failed at its main job.
We built the site on WordPress with a persistent player that keeps audio running as visitors move around, plus a schedule the station updates itself and presenter profiles that give the on-air talent a face. The layout is built for phones, since most listening happens on mobile.
The result is a station site where listening and browsing coexist instead of competing.
