Mesit Restaurant sits in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where it is known for a mountain terrace and heated igloo dining pods, an experience that sells itself once people can see it.
Restaurant sites usually fail in the same way: too little atmosphere and too much friction before booking. For a destination venue, the visuals are the product, and most visitors arrive on a phone while already in the area deciding where to eat.
We built the site on WordPress to lead with photography of the terrace and igloos, with the menu and reservation path always within reach. It is built mobile first and in Spanish for the local and visiting audience.
The result is a site that shows people the experience and gets them to book a table.
